Ecola State Park
Ecola State Park, north of Cannon Beach, offers some of the most breathtaking views found along the Oregon Coast. The park offers access to the beach and also offers trails to help you enjoy some of the amazing scenery in the area. There are also picnic areas which allow you to sit back and take in the views while enjoying a lunch or snack.
Hug Point State Park
Located south of Cannon Beach, Hug Point State Park not only gives you easy access to the beach and a waterfall but also gives you the opportunity to take a peek into some fascinating history. Walk along the original trail carved by stagecoaches showing remnants of the old coast highway. From Hug Point State Park, you are able to see Haystack Rock which is one of the most identifiable landmarks along the coast as well as see two caves located just around the point. Be careful as the tide can creep up quickly.
Haystack Rock
Haystack Rock is a protected Marine Garden rising over 200 feet out of the beach sand. The rock is a popular tourist attraction and is accessible by foot during low tide. Haystack Rock and the area surrounding it is full of life. Be sure to check out tidepools for intertidal animals such as sea stars, crabs, sea slugs and more and also be sure to check out the many sea birds that call Haystack Rock home. Life on and around Haystack Rock is delicate so be sure to take extra care when exploring.

Cannon Beach is home to dozens of small specialty stores, boutiques and about 20 different galleries. Some of the best shopping and galleries on the coast are located in Cannon Beach. Whether you are just interested in looking around or are interested in finding that perfect gift, you are sure to find what you are looking for in Cannon Beach. You aren't likely to find this type of merchandise in your local suburban mall. While most galleries are located right downtown Cannon Beach, be sure to venture off a little and check out some of the nearby galleries just a short walk away.
