Description
Bolan Lake is a 12 acre, high mountain lake with a shoreline of Douglas fir, pine and hemlock. It provides cool relief from the hot, valley temperatures of July and August. A nice place to swim, picnic, or fish. Rainbow trout are stocked a few times each year. Overlooking Bolan Lake is Bolan Lookout, an old fire lookout that is now available for overnight stays. Contact the Illinois Valley Ranger District for more information. The elevation of Bolan Lake is 5,500 feet.
