This campground is the perfect spot for a day of fishing and or boating. Big Sage is a large, shallow reservoir surrounded by juniper woodland and sagebrush. Established to provide irrigation water, it also offers abundant recreational opportunities. A new boat ramp was constructed in 1997. A campground lies on the shore near the boat ramp. The reservoir itself occupies several thousand acres. Birds find safe refuge for nesting on a number of islands scattered across the reservoir.
