There is some private land at Cornucopia, but if you stay on the road, which is also the trail, no special permission is necessary. There is parking available at the trailhead. Signs are at boundaries, junctions and the trailhead. You will ride or hike along mountain trails, viewing spectacular scenery. There are mountain streams to cross along most of the route but be prepared to carry your own drinking water.

There are no good campsites along this trail.
