Description

If you're interested in a lonely, uncrowded trail that is also beyond tough, the Brown Mountain Loop should be your first choice. It starts out with a deceptively manageable warm up and gets progressively difficult. The descent at the end whips sharply through rock, both off and on the trail.

You'll want to be bring plenty of food and water, because you will need your energy once you get off the friendly roads and jeep trails. The scenery is spectacular, but also filled with cacti, so do be careful.
