Special Rules: Campfire Use Site. Pack out all trash. 14 day stay limit. Helpful Hints: The nearest dump station is at Cachuma Lake. The campground is usually full on weekends during deer hunting season, mid August through late September. Drinking water is available at Figueroa Campground 8 miles away. Spring wildflowers are spectacular. Happy Canyon Road is mostly paved except for a 2 mile dirt section just before Cachuma Campground. This dirt section may become impassible during wet weather, but the Figueroa Mountain Road is fully paved and may be used as an alternate route. Check the Santa Maria/Santa Lucia portion of this web site to find out more about the Figueroa Mountain Recreation Area campgrounds and trails
