Description

Devil's Flat Campground is located 10 miles upstream from Galesville Reservoir on Cow Creek. Across the road from the campground is the old Devil's Flat Guard Station. A 1915 era Ranger Cabin and horse barn are located there. Cow Creek Falls Trail and the Devil's Flat Trail begin at the Guard Station.

Additional Details

Camping, picnicking, and hiking. The Cow Creek Falls Trail makes a 0.3 mile loop along cascading Cow Creek Gorge. The Devil''s Flat Trail leads 5 miles to the top of Red Mountain. The Elk Skull Bluff trail makes a 1/2 mile loop from the campground to a vantage point of the Upper Cow Creek drainage.

From Interstate 5, 12 miles south of Canyonville, take the Azalea exit and head east on County Road No.36 for 17 miles to Devil's Flat campground.
