Description

There's something slightly surreal about Fort Rock, both the massive stone formation itself and the Homestead Village it shadows on this empty stretch of high desert. Volunteers have poured time and effort into this project, designed to provide a glimpse of an old Oregon homestead, and they've done a good job. It won't overtax your imagination to picture life here as it once was - definitely worth the a detour if you're in the Bend area.
