For the best of both Oregon worlds, beat a hasty retreat to Bend, a central city home to a culturally-oriented community and close to ski slopes, raftable river, ragged mountains, golf courses, top climbing spots and peaceful forest.
Sheltered from traffic noise on Highway 138, Horseshoe Bend is situated on a bench adjacent to the river and is shaded by an open stand of old-growth Douglas-fir and sugar pine. A major launching point for whitewater boating is located near the entrance gate. Campground host is on duty.
