An extensive system of trails extends along Key Peninsula just north of Olympia. The trail strings its way from the Cushman Trail in the North (already linked to Gig Harbor) to Devil's Head in the south by following various rights of way and connecting the pearls of interesting properties and places along the way.
Estimated at about 20 miles in length, with 5 miles of spur trails, the trail lends itself nicely to weekend backpacking with "civilized" camping at several state parks and "wilderness" camping along the way.
