Description

This three day adventure on the Klamath River in northern California packs just the right amount of class IV white water rafting and kayaking to get your adrenaline pumping and test your Orange Torpedo skills. We will paddle famous rapids like Pre Ike, Ike Falls, Lunch Box, and Change of Course with their monster waves and powerful holes. If you have paddled the Rogue River or even the Salmon River and felt you were left looking for something bigger this is your chance to see if your a true hotshot on the Klamath River.

On this unique rafting trip we do our lodging a little different. Here, instead of floating into a lodge or camp we will pack up the boats at the end of every day and drive to our lodge or campsite. These drives are typically 10-20 minutes and often include a stop for afternoon swimming in crystal clear side streams on the way back to the lodge.

Trips before June 15th are usually lodge trips (unless otherwise requested) and trips after June 15th are usually camping trips (unless otherwise requested). Lodges are based on double occupancy and are usually 1 bedroom cabins. Group or family housing may be available so call for details.

Camping on the Klamath Hotshot is not roughing it. We will have access to hot showers and bountiful meals served indoors making this a great option to keep the cost down or just come later in the summer. Regardless of lodge or camp, the nights on the Klamath River hotshot are spent with friends re-living the days many adventures and looking at photos of white water escapades.

This trip is offered in Orange Torpedo’s and paddle rafts, but if you want to paddle an Orange Torpedo on this trip before July 1st, we strongly recommend that you have been with us on another multi-day trip where you paddled an inflatable kayak. We also recommend this trip for people 12 years old and up only.
