Description

In Newberry National Volcanic Monument. Scenic views of two lakes, Paulina Peak, and the Big Obsidian Flow.

Bears are a common occurrence in Newberry Caldera. Please be Bear Safe and be aware of and follow all food storage regulations.

Trailheads located at the first boatramp parking area of Little Crater Campground and at north end of campground. Can also be accessed from Paulina Lakeshore Trail (No. 3955) which pass throught Little Crater Campground.
