Description

This trail follows the Little Minam River for most of the way. Dispersed camping sites are plentiful along this route and when you reach the Minam River. You will find some good fishing spots along the way and have opportunities for viewing wildlife, and observe the historic Horse Ranch. This trail is traveled quite a bit in the summer and fall as an access point to many other routes.

NW Forest Passes are required at the Moss Springs Trailhead.

The road driving into Moss Springs is very steep. There is parking at the trailhead. Outhouses, stock loading ramps and hitch rails are available. Water runs along most of the route for stock, but carrying your own drinking water is recommended. You will ride or hike along creeks and view some spectacular scenery.

Watch for bears in this area, especially in late August and September.
