Description

This section of the Pacific Crest National Scenic Trail is between Hwy. 20 at Santiam Pass and Skyline Road north of Mt. Jefferson. The entire trail segment is within the Mt. Jefferson Wilderness Area. For the first seven miles the trail is mainly on the Willamette N.F. as it passes around the west side of Three Fingered Jack. For the next 13 miles the trail closely follows the Cascade Crest switching back and forth between the Deschutes and Willamette N.F. The final 20 miles are on the Willamette N.F. as the trail passes around the west side of Mt. Jefferson.
