Description

This section of the Pacific Crest National Scenic Trail is between Hwy 242 at McKenzie Pass and Hwy. 20 at Santiam Pass. The southern portion of this trail is in the Mt. Washington Wilderness Area. For about the first six miles the trail is mainly on the Deschutes N.F. The trail then turns west around Mt. Washington and passes near Big Lake.
