The Penrose trail system (Liberty Trail, Patriot Trail and Independence Trail) is an extremely tough system in general, but the Patriot Trail is the absolute roughest one. Some expert off-roaders may find it ultimately impassable - body damage is almost a given. Giant ledges wait for you at the top and before you get there are two obstacles. Axle Hole is a very tricky gap and Coffin Rock is a ledge with a rock at its bottom, which makes descent a difficult matter indeed.
