Shaped by long-gone volcanos, central Oregon seduces travelers with spots like Crater Lake, part of the national park of the same name that is cloaked with powder snow in winter and dotted with walkers come summer months.
Rainbow trout and black bullhead catfish are present in the pond. All methods of fishing work well here, especially early in the summer. Flat areas are available for camping adjacent to the pond. The pond is also a great place to take a swim during the summer.
