This trail is open to hikers, horseback riders and mountain bikers. The trail provides access to hunting and camping, with some opportunities for fishing. Numerous river crossings act as barrier to hikers and bikers during periods of high water. The river crossings make the trail hard to locate in several places.
This trail is not maintained past the elk camp (2.2 miles in).
