Description

In the shadow of majestic Mount Bailey on the west shore of Diamond Lake, this campground takes its name from the view of the unforgettable peak of Mount Thielsen. This camp is a favorite with fishermen.

Forest Service Visitor Information Center. Interpretive programs are provided in the summer at the amphitheater

There are 11 miles of paved bicycle/hiker trail surrounding Diamond Lake

Lake fishing for Rainbow trout. The lake is stocked annually with over 450,000 fingerling

Basic Directions

Located 80 miles east of Roseburg on Highway 138, turn right onto Road 4795 (Diamond Lake Loop) at the north entrance to Diamond Lake Recreation Area. Proceed 0.3 miles and turn right. Go 3 miles to the campground entrance on the left. Thielsen View may also be accessed via Highway 230 from Medford, or Highway 97 from Klamath Falls and Bend.
