Description

Most of this trail travels through Mill Creek Wilderness, following Mill Creek itself. It is a fairly easy hike except for numerous stream crossings with no bridges. This trail receives fairly heavy use, especially in summer. Cattle are also allowed to graze in the area. The highlight of this trail is the contrast between thick stream vegetation and ponderosa pine forest, as well as views of the Twin Pillars, 200 foot tall volcanic plugs that dominate the landscape. Trail ends on north side of Wilderness at Bingham Prairie on Forest Road No. 27.
