For the best of both Oregon worlds, beat a hasty retreat to Bend, a central city home to a culturally-oriented community and close to ski slopes, raftable river, ragged mountains, golf courses, top climbing spots and peaceful forest.
Located 22 miles southeast of Ukiah off USFS Road 52. Winom Creek Campground is designed for Off Highway Vehicle recreation; however, hikers and horse riders are also welcome to use the trails as well. Winom Creek Campground is the primary staging area for the southern end of the OHV complex. Winom Creek Campground was constructed in 1991 as a cooperative effort between Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT), Umatilla National Forest, and Northwest Trailriders. There are 5 trailer/tent sites, 3 group sites, 2 shelters, Barrier free toilets, and an OHV loading ramp. The access road is narrow and winding and is not recommended for larger R-V's. There is no potable water. There is no fee for overnight camping.
