Description
A lightly used trail through pine and mountain hemlock forests. Only water is at Lava Lake. Offers skilled mountain bikers a long climb and some technical riding. A long challenging loop can be made by linking to the Metolious-Windigo Horse Trail No. 99 and riding some highway miles. Three Sisters Wilderness west of Century Drive is closed to mountain bikes.

Basic Directions
Begins from both Edison Butte Trailhead on Forest Rd. 45 and Lucky Lake Trailhead just off Century Drive, 21 and 40 miles west of Bend respectively. Also acceptable to park at day use area at Lava Lake and proceed to trailhead by the boad ramp.
