A short, and relatively narrow spur leads west from the main Fry Trail No. 816 to the high volume, perennial Fry Spring. Trail is infrequently maintained.

Basic Directions

Travel US Highway 26 to Forest Road #12 – 13 miles east of Mitchell and 25 miles west of Dayville. Take Forest Road #12 5 miles south to Barnhouse Campground. Continue on FR #12 2¼ miles past the campground to Forest Road #2630. Take FR #2630 for 2 miles to the poorly marked Fry Trailhead on the north side of the road. Follow Fry Trail #816 approximately 0.3 miles to the junction with Trail 816A.
