Description

For a quick trip to China short the long flight, head for the Portland Classical Chinese Gardens at the heart of Oregon's Rose City. Inspired in part by the renowned gardens of Suzhou, Portland's sister city in China, these grounds have been carefully built and lovingly tended to provide visitors a peek at what "shan shui", or "mountains and water" is all about. Plan for a peaceful meander past silky ponds and elegant pavilions as you step back to Ming Dynasty splendor all in a day's wander.
