Description

There's no better place to stretch out car-cramped legs than in the scenic lands sweeping up to the edge of the Columbia River Gorge. Vinzenz Lausmann Memorial State Natural Area, just west of Hood River, is made accessible by a hiking trail that leads through breezy stands of trees to panoramic views of the Gorge. Keep an eye out for interesting rock formations as you make your ascent.
