From Madras -- Take U.S. Highway 26 Southeast for 12 miles. Rimrock Springs Wildlife Management Area and trail are just off the highway on the left.

rom Prineville -- Take U.S Highway 26 NORTHWEST for 18 miles. Rimrock Springs Wildlife Management Area and trail are just off the highway on the right.

Description

Barrier-free trail crosses through high desert juniper/sage environment. After 1 mile, trail reaches fully accessible wildlife viewing platform. Remaining loop of trail not fully accessible to second viewing platform and beyond. Excellent place to visit in winter if you want to hike instead of ski.
